Manitou course (telescopic handlers)

Gain new skills on a Manitou course and increase your employability!

Telescopic handlers are versatile machines used primarily in construction, agriculture and earthworks. They are also used in warehouses when products need to be stacked very high. For such tasks, there are system trucks (reach trucks, stackers), which you will also be able to operate after taking a Manitou course.

As they are handling equipment, in order to be able to operate them, it is necessary to obtain the appropriate authorisations issued by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT). Our course on telehandlers will prepare you for work as an operator of this type of equipment, providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

What are telescopic handlers?

Telescopic handlers, also known as lift trucks or reach trucks, are machines that differ from normal forklift trucks in that they are equipped with a variable reach.

By design, there are two categories of these vehicles: rotary telehandlers with a movable operator’s cab and front-end telehandlers with a stationary operator’s cab. Telescopic loaders are generally fitted with additional attachments such as grabs, buckets or forks.

Terms and conditions of the Manitou course

To join the telehandler operator course, the participant must meet the following requirements:
